 High Availability Hosting offer Operating System support for Windows, Linux, and Solaris. Either directly or via the vendor.


Windows OS Support
Support for Windows Server 2003 is available direct from HA Hosting. We offer a support + patching service for Web, Standard, and Enterprise editions. As well as basic OS troubleshooting for Windows Server 2008.

Support covers:

  • 9 x 5 business hours, 24 hour response
  • OS Component installation
  • OS errors / bugs / blue-screen support
  • Patch / update / service pack installation
  • Disk snapshot before install*
  • Active Directory support

* Taking a snapshot of the disk before applying patches enables a quick roll-back of your server should the patch installation fail. This prevents unnecessary downtime or a possible server rebuild if the OS becomes corrupted.

Support does not include third party software installed by yourself.

Windows OS support per server costs £35 + VAT per month.
Linux OS Support
Support for Redhat Enterprise Server is provided direct from Redhat. A Redhat Subscription is included in the price of your server and includes:

  • Installation
  • Usage
  • Configuration
  • Diagnosis
  • Bug fixes
  • Supports RHEL, Layered Products and JBoss Enterprise Middleware.

Your support subscription will be renewed every year by HA Hosting. You will be required to contact Redhat direct for any support queries.
Solaris OS Support
Support for Solaris 10 Server is provided direct from Sun Microsystems. A Sun Basic support contract is included in the price of your server. An upgrade to a Standard support contract is also available.
